Banish the blues, with January Jazz at The George 🎸 🎹

In - the Dragon Bar
On - Sunday 11 January
At - 3-5pm

Frances Knight and Stephen Bridgland return on keyboard and guitar, respectively.

Frances’s projects are eclectic and diverse, ranging from jazz and blues through to improvised music and Argentinian Tango.

She is a prolific songwriter who has been awarded the European Musicians Federation songwriting prize.

On her own record label, Mandeville Records, she’s had tracks played on the BBC, Jazz FM and abroad.

Stephen’s jazz guitar playing is rich, resonant and life-affirming - the perfect tonic for this bleak time of year.

We can’t wait to welcome them both and all of you.

Remember to arrive early to bag a spot - this is a FREE event and there is no reserved seating.

What a year of good cheer it has been! 🥰

We welcomed our fabulous new Head Chef to The Grill... Thank you Oscar for your creativity, passion and leadership - we have just adored eating your food and what a pleasure it is to see so many happy satiated faces in the restaurant.

We also welcomed @verden.world into our bathrooms with the uplifting D’Orangerie range and have never received so many compliments on the fragrance.

Into The Ballroom, we welcomed some truly outstanding guests for talks and events, from the delightful and iconic @dianahenryfood to the breathtaking opera singers of The Royal Opera House.

Jazz at The George returned in the courtyard and Dragon Bar, where we also found many new and exciting seasonal cocktails.

And, we had the best time hosting all the stunning weddings, parties and occasions.

So, now we’re raising a glass to everyone in the neighbourhood; to all of our guests - past, present and those yet to walk through the door - and, of course, to our incredible team who make everything possible.

May 2026 bring more excitement, more rejuvenation, more inspiration.

Happy New Year!

From everyone at The George.
