❤️ The Red Roofed Hut ❤️
Sitting on the edge of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, the Red Roofed Hut was once a working fisherman’s net store. Built simply and painted in its now-iconic red, it became a shelter for those who worked the coastline and marshes.
Over time, as fishing declined in the area, the hut remained — gradually turning into a much-loved local landmark — a striking splash of colour set against wide skies and shifting tides.
