“What a magical 24 hours in my hometown of Rye! Was so much fun showing my loveliest friends the sights and sounds of Rye on the most gorgeous of spring days. 🌼
We began by a delicious lunch in the sunny courtyard of @thegeorgeinrye Think grilled octopus, new season asparagus, buratta salad and fresh oysters all washed down with my local favorite @gusbourne_wine Blanc de blanc. We followed lunch with a stroll around Church square and a tour of @lambhouse_nt , former home of Henry James, E.F Benson and Rumer Godden, now owned by the @thenational
Then I had the chance to show everyone some of my favorite local boutiques and antique shops including @soapandsalvation and @mccullyandcrane just to name a few. We got our steps in before supper by climbing very steep steps of St Mary’s church to get the most spectacular view of the town all the way out to the sea.
An hour of Yin Yoga with @jojoyogacreative in the beautiful ballroom of the hotel then
Back to my room for a relaxing soak in the tub with some gorgeous @verden.world products.
Then off to a very intimate candlelit dinner with a spectacular table festooned with roses designed by @flowers.in.rye supplied by @tambuziroses
The next morning we visited one of the finest gardens in the country @greatdixterofficial which was in the height of spring bloom gorgeousness.

In East Sussex with my dearest friend Arabella, celebrating her beautiful brand @verden.world new partnership at the @thegeorgeinrye
Situated in the cobbled streets of Rye, the George has recently been renovated. Each room in this colourful boutique hotel is unique and each bathroom (complete with roll top bath) comes equipped with copious amounts of Verden for your bath and shower needs.
The weather was with us, cloudless skies meant we ate al fresco in their courtyard restaurant (which was utterly scrumptious and can highly recommend) we wandered through the streets visiting vintage stores such as @soapandsalvation and gorgeous galleries @mccullyandcrane as well as the beautiful 18th Century @Lambhouse_nt home of American novelist Henry James and its wisteria walled garden.
Then yin yoga in the ballroom (could that BE any chicer?) with the serene @jojoyogacreative and a long luxurious soak in Verden bubbles before dinner in the Ballroom kitchen bedecked with cascading flowers by @tambuziroses and @flowers.in.rye - lots of fun chatter and catching up with friends late into the night.
Couldn’t recommend visiting Rye and its surrounding area more, so much to do and utterly charming, especially in this amazing weather. Stay obvs at the George or at least eat there. The food is scrumptious and if you can’t go, make sure to treat yourself to a little Verden. A candle, body lotion or wash in any of their scents is a worthwhile treat.”
