Hastings Pirate Day 2017 is back with a vengeance, with events taking place  from Hastings Old Town to St Leonards Warrior Square.  On Sunday 16th July, Hastings turns into the pirate capital of the world with thousands dressed as pirates with spectacular events, live pirate music, processionsand swashbuckling action in a day of non-stop entertainment.  Highlights include of the day include a display by the elite Princess of Wales Regiment free fall parachute display team ‘The Tigers, landing on Hastings Pier and the biggest community created pirate flag in the world and paraded along Pelham Beach, filmed from the air.  Hastings currently holds the ‘Guinness World Record for the Largest Gathering of Pirates’.
