We found your details on and wanted to approach you as we are recruiting for a Chef de Partie here at The George in Rye.

The George in Rye is a popular boutique hotel located in the medieval town of Rye, East Sussex.   Rye is a very popular tourist destination and we enjoy a large and loyal local client base, with most of our restaurant customers being non hotel-residents.

The Chef de Partie role is a very hands-on role in the kitchen, which also involves overseeing the bar, banqueting and room service operations. The George Grill restaurant and George Tap restaurant are open all day and serve on average 120 covers a day and up to 100 covers in the evening.

The menu is a typical brassiere-style menu with a very wide selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes all prepared from daily fresh produce. We are also very proud of our Josper charcoal oven on which we produce some beautiful grilled dishes including fillet, rib eye, and sirloin steaks. We have a very energetic team in the kitchen with approximately 4-5 chefs per service.  There are two kitchens – the main kitchen (which was renovated 2011) and the banqueting kitchen.
