Wedding and Event Sales
Job role: Outstanding individual required to undertake key strategic role with established boutique hotel in Rye, The George – with key responsibility for wedding sales and marketing through social media. Also handling initial communications with potential employees.
Reports to: Group Financial Controller and Directors
Renumeration: competitive, includes bonus, and based on experience.
Key tasks and responsibilities
– Sales: predominantly weddings, some other events eg functions, banquets, conferences. Communicate and meet with client, convert sale, upsell spend.
– Social Media: development, posting and ongoing management of wedding-related social media content supporting sales of weddings at The George
The candidate should be fanatical about weddings; they should live and breath them. Your passion for them will be expressed through your regular social media content from which you will develop a following.
You should be fully flexible to undertake wedding show rounds at any time, including weekends and bank holidays.
You should have an ability to optimise and close sales, but a natural and friendly style that reflects the venue. (The Events Manager will undertake the ongoing management of the event/client once sales confirmed.)
You should possess confidence and be ruthlessly independent, managing and prioritising your time effectively. Have the ability to set your own objectives and strive to achieve and complete these though own self-motivation.
We will consider someone for a part time role, but with less responsibility than set out above.
